WHO, Late as Always, Admits Lockdowns Should be a Last Resort

For the past six months, health officials have been telling the country that social distancing and lockdowns are the only way to combat the coronavirus. The liberal jump into panic mode caused an overreaction with measures to contain and control the virus. The president has stated all along that there is no need to react by locking people in their homes. But the nasty Democrats did their own thing and forced people to stay at home.

Now it looks like the president was right with how he has been handling the virus and keeping things in perspective. He has told the world that there is no need to continue to lock people in their homes, but liberals are not listening because they think they know better. When it the end, it comes to power to control people.

The World Health Organization has come out and admitted that the president is right about the dangers of lockdowns. World leaders have locked people in their homes for months, which has led to economic hardship around the world. Democratic-controlled areas of the United States have fallen victim to the same conditions.

Republican-controlled areas have seen low numbers of infections and even a rapid recovery from the virus. The WHO is warning people not to lock down any more people because of COVID-19. This statement is news that has come a little too late for some areas.

The statement by WHO is a complete reversal from their previous advisements. They have been telling everyone to lock everyone up. Today’s world cannot stop like it could during the 1912 flu outbreak. The way business and delivery of goods have changed to the point that any interruption means millions’ death.

The measures employed by governments should have only been done as a last resort. The WHO has admitted its error. This calls into question if the organization can ever be trusted again with the truth, especially since they joined forces with China to cover up the outbreak’s fact that has killed over a million people so far.

Dr. David Nabarro came out and said, “We in the World Health Organization do not advocate lockdowns as the primary means of control of this virus. The only time we believe a lockdown is justified is to buy you time to reorganize, regroup, rebalance your resources, protect your health workers who are exhausted, but by and large, we’d rather not do it.”

It appears that the lack of funding from the United States is causing Nabarro and his staff to rethink their motives and methods of viral control and reporting. There is something to be said about a significant country withdrawing its financial support. President Trump spanked the WHO hard for their lies and fraudulent information.

Nabarro continued to cry that “Lockdowns just have one consequence that you must never, ever belittle, and that is making poor people an awful lot poorer.” As a doctor, he just cannot see people suffer. And by his admission, the WHO’s recommendations have caused a lot of pain and suffering around the globe.

He also pointed out the obvious by saying, “Look what’s happened to smallholder farmers all over the world. Look what’s happening to poverty levels. It seems that we may well have a doubling of world poverty by next year. We may well have at least a doubling of child malnutrition.”

President Trump could come out and give Nabarro the big “I told you so” speech. Nations that locked down their people are still suffering. They are still suffering from the effects of the virus that would run its course regardless of the lockdowns. And they suffer from economic hardship.

President Trump saw what would happen in America if the country did not open up when it did. It would have been much harder to recover had he not allowed the restrictions to expire. The only areas that are still suffering to date are regions under Democrat control because they do not let people out of their homes. They refuse to let them return to work because they continue to lie to the people about the virus’s fact.
